2. Travel security advice

1) If you decide to participate in organized tours, you should sign with the travel agency a valid travel contract, where your rights and obligations shall be specified. You are also advised to buy travel accident insurance.

2) Always note down and bring with you the name and phone number of the hotel you stay in, and the license plate number of your tour bus.

3) When you participate in water activities, always wear a life jacket or other flotation device.

4) Please strictly observe relevant security requirements when you participate in rather dangerous activities such as drifting, adventure, bungee jumping, mountaineering, and cable car. Patients of mental diseases, heart disease, hypertension, dementia, etc., pregnant women, elderly people, young children, and people with disabilities are advised not to participate in activities that are not suitable for them.

5) When you visit scenic areas (spots), please strictly observe their safety rules and note the warning signs.

6) If you encounter any danger during your travel, you should immediately turn to the local police for help.

7) When you take a plane, follow the safety instructions, e.g. fasten your seat belt, do not bring any dangerous or inflammable materials, do not use mobile phone or other electronic devices during the takeoff and landing of the plane.

8) You are advised to store your valuables in the hotel's safe box. If you decide to take them with you, please always keep an eye on it.

9) Please remember to close the door when you enter or leave your hotel room. Do not use your clothes to cover the lamp or smoke in bed. When you hear the fire alarm, quickly take the emergency exit (do not take the elevator) to leave the building.

10) When you are at the seaside, please do not cross the security cordon; if you are not an experienced swimmer, please do not get in the water alone.

11) When you are traveling with a group, you mustn't take the liberty to act alone. If you have to do something alone, please first ask for the guide's permission, and carry with you the address and contact number of the hotel you stay in, in case you get lost.

12) When you arrive at the scenic area, before you start any activity, keep in mind the gathering time and spot and the license plate number of your bus. In the unlikely event of getting left behind, please stay at the told gathering spot and wait for your tour guide to come back for you.

13) After you get checked into a hotel, please have a look at the evacuation map on the back of your door, and keep in mind the location of the emergency exits.

14) Before you check out of a hotel, please check whether you have taken all your belongings with you, especially your passport and valuables.

15) Please remember to cut off the power when you leave your hotel room; and do not let any stranger into your room.

16) When you are shopping or having fun, please take care of your belongings, and keep the receipts and tickets.

17) If you find yourself in a dangerous situation, turn to the local police for help (call 110).

18) If you get into a dispute with your travel agency and need to make a complaint, you may turn to the local tourism administration (call 12301).
